FAQDo you have a question about something? Read through our Frequently Asked Questions.Does my sampler support SoundFonts? Most software samplers and some hardware samplers support SoundFonts. How do I load SoundFonts in Reason? 1. Unzip downloaded samples and copy them to e.g. "C:\jensensamples". 2. Start Reason and create an instance on NN-XT sampler. 3. Press the button used to load new samples/patches. 4. Browse to the directory with unzipped samples and double click the SoundFont you want to load. 5. Double click "Presets". 6. Double click the preset you want to load. 7. The SoundFont is now loaded. Why is there only one preset in each SoundFont? When you load a SoundFont you use your computers resources. The bigger SoundFont, the bigger task for your computer. Our SoundFonts consist of a combination of many sound recordings used in order to obtain a natural, well-sounding product. If we combined several of our sounds in one big SoundFont (this can be done!), it would use more of your computer's resources than necessary. How are the SoundFonts created? Each sound file is recorded with the best guitars and guitarists, using the finest microphones, preamps and digital converters. We primarily use Pro Tools for our recording sessions. We use as few effects (EQ, dynamics etc.) as possible. You will have to add these effects yourself, since the final sound has to apply to your mix. The sound you hear when you press the keys on your keyboard is therefore the direct sound from the microphones. The final SoundFonts are made with the SoundFont editor “Vienna SoundFont Studio”. |
